i am new to the LGA1156 and P55 chipset so i could really use some help, or should i just try MSI's OC Genie function?

my setup is

Intel Core i3 540 @ Box Cooler
MSI P55-GD85
Kingston HyperX blu 2x2gb PC3-12800 (1600mhz)

so how is it i need to do to oc?

First i never had MSI motherboard before, second i never oc on LGA1156 before so did they change anything?

so a little help could be nice ^^

Its all about the same as 1366 platform or any other.

Just raise your bclock and add cpu voltage when needed.

Keep a eye on your temps with that stock cooler.

Its not the best solution, but I would like to see what the Genie can setup for you :D

you may need IMC/VTT if you get your bclk over 200

Invest in a decent cooler, then go to town. Stock cooling's not going to take you very far; I definitely wouldn't do any voltage increases with it.
