I am running a computer with windows 98... I want to install Windows XP home but I dont have the Cd key.... Is there anyway I can find the cd key because otherwise I cant install Windows XP!

Somebody Please help!

where ever you bought xp from better have given you a cd key, because hte os disc itself can be reproduced

Did you get XP from a retail store? Or used from another person. If you got it from a retail store you can attempt to exchange it, but most store will not allow you to return opened software because they are easily copied. Contact Microsoft you may be able to convince thme to give you a key if you have the box, reciept, and anything else that came with XP to help verify that it is an original copy that you purchased. If you bought it used you will have to get it from whoever you bought if from otherwise you are SOL. Make sure the disc has all of the Microsoft holograms and other anti-forgery devices on it. You may have gotten a bootleg copy. Good luck.
