I have a mining card which is xfx rx470 4gb ,and is flash to rx580 version,
I found out the performance not stable so I get another sapphire bios which is same chip same memory type same clock .
I flash it in the windows using amevbflash using command below.
Amdvbflash -unlockrom 0
Amdvbflash -f -p 0 1.rom. (My new rom name)
BTW I am using amdvbflash 4.68
after awhile it show something said my card will update to another name. And some moment later, it show writing fail.
Ok... I would take that as the update bios is failed.
I reboot my pc and, boom, I can’t see my boot up screen,
I found out that some article said to take a MOBO with internal display and flash it , luckily I do have a working mobo which is msi g31tm-p31.
I choose the display graphics to use internal at boot.
However, the internal display will only work if my display card wasn’t power up.
If I plug in the pcie power into the card. The mobo will choose the display card.(remember? My card is bricked, nothing will show up)
i tried to power up the pc and immediately plug in the pcie power after something show on internal display screen.
And the result is,
No adapter found.
I use amdflash -i 1 or 0 also no adapter found.
what should I do now ?
