How to watch SD camcorder footage on plasma?

I want to buy the new 42in panasonic 1024 x768 plasma, and was wondering if they have a DV input...?

most probably it doesnt. you have to copy your video to the pc and then play from there, possibly encode it to dvd and burn it

or does your camcorder have a composite/svideo signal output ?

dvd player goes in via composite/svideo or hdmi. if you have the money get a dvd player with hdmi, makes quite a difference in picture quality

Going to buy the plasma tomorrow......but I don't have the DVD or camcorder.
I will get a 1080p upscale HDMI model, probably the new Pioneer 410.
Camcoder input is normally called DV isn't it...?
