HP Z440 - any heat issues with RTX 2080 Ti Blower Edition card?

The video card would be sitting in slot 2 with the HP X Turbo Drive in slot 4. Assuming that it is not possible to change the location of the cards, would there be heat issues with the 2080 Ti sitting in slot 2?

Aside: this card will replace the original K1200 and the alternative card is the Quadro RTX 4000.

I think there are a few issues....

1. Power supply. The Z440 supposedly comes with a 525W PSU but that PSU might not like devices that have a high power draw. Its an OEM PSU made to meet a certain price point and to handle what it was made to do in a HP spec machine. A good 500W PSU should power a 2080Ti easily but with very limited OC.

2. You want to try hook up an intake fan if possible. 2080Ti's can get pretty hot. especially blower style coolers. blower style are the most inefficient style of cooler for todays cards and blower style coolers are usually sold on the cheapest cards too.

Why cant you put the card in the first pci-ex slot?

Not sure what machine you are talking about but it isn't a HP Z440 desktop. Mine has a 750 watt power supply and the X1 slot isn't usable.

a 2080ti blower will have heat issues in an open test bench in an air conditioned room, so yes, it would have heat issues but it wouldn't be the fault of the HP.

It will still run just fine, you will just hear the fan spin up a bit and the card will drop clocks to stay at 81C.
