You are modding a ferrari with an engine from a toyota, zbooks are a masterpiece of engineering, leave it to the engineers that gave you a choice of multiple cpus and gpus to match, dont toy with it, the bios is heavily customized, I have one and it works like butter because everything is by the spec. Just get an msi laptop with max-q and leave the workstation replacement laptops be. This is a serious machine, not a gaming toy.

You seem to be such a fanboy, mind to come get under my laptop so I can enjoy this GTX 980M to the max.

:kookoo:
Thanks for explanation, but community is made for solving problems, not pointing out obvious things that aren't even worth having though about. I surely know I'm going off the HP standarts, you should point it out for people that have even 1070 installed on these laptops, not only me. Let's not have a company that has bullshitted dozens of people give us the borderlines.
You won't have a power hungry card running in a notebook not designed for it. And a 1070 uses less power than a 980, plus they are using a very specific one.

You are very arrogant to call someone a fanboy.

Go buy a Eurocom is the best suggestion and you won't need to screw with this crap.

Just remain pissed for being stubborn¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There are other forums out there you may try and visit...

Yup some laptops/notebooks are specific purpose built, only top end Eurocom's with a gaming card can handle such workloads as well.

Anything thinner than the image i gave out is a notebook to me lol.

Yup till you hit thermal and power limits of all components and you are wondering why it's not working correctly...
