I flashed a 165w vbios for my 3080 laptop, but TDP is still only 140w.

I have a zephyrus s17 and I tried to flash a dell vbios which has a 115+45w TDP. My original vbios has a 115+25w vbios.
After flashed new vbios, everything works fine BUT when I try stress test, my GPU power can only reach 140w.
I can see that it says my power limit is 165w in Nvidia Control Panel.
I dont know why, is there any possible reason?

Can be physically limited by one or even two shunt resistors

some 3080s are maxq while others are max p , they are different dies , bios flash is not always enough

I have a msi ge76 raider with 11800h and rtx3070 and my gpu board and chip power draws spike over 200watts under demanding games but only for a .1 second timeframe. They replaced the motherboard and its doing it again right away. Be careful what you wish for.
PS it doesnt help performance at all.
