the page is not made by facebook. it's pulled from our servers and integrated into the fb outside page.

i suck at design, so that's why it looks like it looks

i assume when doing contests with companies they will help with graphics

I was going to try it and it looked like I had to install an "app" so I went back to the page and entered it the old fashioned way.

you have authorize the contest app to get your basic details. otherwise facebook doesn't send them.

First time, I clicked like, filled out the info, check the agree box and clicked "join the contest". Then I clicked on the TPU page button on the top.

Second time, after just reading your reply, I did the autofill and accepted the app, it filled in the info and I accepted again, then it said thanks for joining the contest.

I'm confused. Perhaps the "join the contest" should install the app (after "warning" you)

i think most people prefer to have the choice of not having to authorize an app to signup for a contest

Absolutely, I haven't ever installed a facebook app, except for now. What wasn't clear to me is if I needed to install the app to join the contest... so apparently after installing the app, I entered a second time.

so far we will just show "thank you" instead of "you already signed up", so it's harder for people to figure out how to beat the system
