sounds like you have tried everything rma it,plus try all the ram slots have just the monitor and keyboard connected and use the 7100gs

OK guys, question:

All connected, fans spin Aux. power connected to GPU in the form of a molex to the board and 6-pin connector. 8-pin CPU power in, 24-pin main power in. Turn power on, fans spin, restart, few more times, then stays on. But nothing on screen. Reset CMOS, did nothing. Any suggestions?

You pluged the keyboard in the wrong port ?..

Keyboard port left side. Mouse port right side. this is from looking at it from the rear of the computer. And this happens when you plug a keyboard in the mouse port..

Tryed re sitting the v card as i've had a few problems with my 2900XT.

Did you get the pci-slot power - the 4-pin molex above the pci-e slot? Haven't seen to many of those 4-pin (ROM style) power plugs on mainboards...i'm guessing it powers the pci-e slots....(its labeled 'additional power connector' in the newegg pic)

if you got that, and w/ everything else said in here....your luck is HORRIBLE....something needs to be RMA'd...

On the mobo's very first boot, everything powers up (no POST) then powers down...its off for ~5-10 seconds and poof it comes back on and boots normally. Thats the first time I powered the board up, and after I flash BIOS....always freaks me out

Now when I hit the reset button, the PC does nearly the same thing. It shuts down completely when I hit the reset button, is off for ~5 seconds, then turns on and boots...

It has to be the chipset or asus, I've been through 2 of these 'value' p35 boards, they both do it, and it always freaks me out...good luck

ben, didn't we have the "keyboard not getting power" with the other mobo as well? try a different keyboard maybe?

as for this, i think the peeps have hit the main points already. i think maybe you should take the board out, and run an open system, now it would help if you had a speaker, theres no onboard and you dont have a case speaker right?

um we're talking about the new foxconn and not the old asus right?

New Foxconn. Doe shave speaker, took it out of case, and when I power it on it just makes an alarm-type sound continously.

it might be the keyboard error beep? we did have the keyboard trouble with the other board didn't we?

true, i believe theres a way in my bios to disable the normal 1 beep, but i dont mind actually, its a reassuring beep i said in general thats what it usually is but you should always use your motherboards manual but yeah, thats a completely different subject and it wont really help ben so yeah, so ben, what do the beeps say?

Motherboard manual is shite. It's just... high beeps in quick succession. Doesn't happen when in the case.

^ That's memory modules. Are you using your old modules? Maybe your mobo doesn't support the voltage of your modules. I have a gut feeling your mobo is healthy.

Try it with no ram and see if it does the normal no ram beeps.

My bro's Bad Axe 2 has no beep codes. We all so had the same problem building his rig. The power connector was in the wrong way so we switched it around a it booted right up. My motherboard tho (680i SLI SE) has a beep code which i love.

ram beeps are low, long and slow, not high pitched and quick in succession...

im loading up your manual and stuff right now ben... god i forgot how much i despise acrobat...

as tigger said, try taking out all of the ram and see if the beeps chance, they should be long monotonous continous beeps

He should'nt really need that pancho with a single card,i think its for two cards.Worth a try tho'.
