I have this gt 730, which I realized is fake, and it crashes when it exceeds 1gb

I would be very grateful if someone could modify the bios so that it only had 1gb so that it does not crash

thank you so much and good afternoon

I attach photos of the gpu-z and the bios(GF-116.rom) in question.

Good luck, as far as I am aware nobody here modifies Vbios's.

GF 116 is the GPU chip, you need to remove the cover and clean the chip to get the exact number on it to find the correct Vbios.

Actually the chip is a gf119.
I affirm it by removing the fan and looking at the chip model and techpowerup confirms it for me:

The chip model number has been erased from the chip, GPU-z shows it as a GF116.
Your fake Bios shows it as the GF119.
Nowhere in the GF119 specs does it say it is used for the GT730.

I'd say based on your assumption it is GF119, and based on pictures it is a GT520 1GB card.

Try these:

very good friend, you are right, this gt 730 card is actually a gt 520 1gb. With a gf119 chip.

That's clear, but I don't have the usb programmer to flash the bios, is there any other way to flash it?
I need to repair it to be able to use it normally. but I do not have the usb programmer.

Thanks a lot

You should be able to force flash a bios onto it.

Hello
In order to force flash a BIOS you will need the following syntax :
amdvbflash -p -f 0 filename.rom

Be careful and you must use ONLY version 2.93.

You must use the force flash procedure:
Save the new BIOS file for the card in the atiflash folder and rename it as GT520.rom
Open CMD with admin privileges
Use CD command to enter atiflash folder (directory)
Use the following command to forceflash:
amdvbflash -p -f 0 GT520.rom
after BIOS is flashed a message will appear to restart computer

LOOOOOL wait !!!! you have Nvidia card. i did not look at the name of the card.
Pfff let me check what is the software for Nvidia i am not using Nvidia cards.

I already edited my post and i told him i will come back with a solution for Nvidia :)
My bad !
But in essence is the same process : you must use the software for reprogramming the EEPROM with the forceflash command.

Basically this is the command to use for NVFLASH program :

nvflash -4 -5 -6 BIOS.ROM

Of course it will let you force flash the card.
The command syntax i put above is exactly for doing a force flash with NVFLASH

Let me check again the syntax of nvflash

The latest versions of the nvflash use another command.
So here it is the new syntax for flashing:

nvflash -f gt520.rom

But this happened XD

At least it no longer says it's false, but it doesn't allow you to install any drivers and the screen has many graphical errors, but the PC recognizes it just fine.

Ok. First of all i am glad that you managed to flash your card,
Second : I would search for another BIOS file in your place that fits your card producer, ID sub ID and memory producer.
I think you have not found the perfect match yet. It is possible to have this problems from the wrong memory chips producer in your actual BIOS.
So i suggest to open up the card and put a picture with your memory chips. That would help to identify the correct BIOS for your card

I suggest you throw that card away. You're never gonna find a bios that works. It is a fake card.
Another bios is not going to stop you from crashing if you exceed 1gb if the card only has 1gb.

I tried with evga and nvidia, I'll try with others and I'll tell you if it works for me.
I'll let you know if I can fix it.

I couldn't return it, because I bought it cheap second hand, without knowing much about it.

Here are the photos, memory and the bios that was installed:

I don't think that your memory chips are Micron. They are some kind of cheap copy of a memory chip. It could be a chinese manufacturer.
So because of that, even you have the correct BIOS for your card, you got the one with the incorrect memory chips.
So the problem is : i do not recognize those chips.
My suggestion : try the same BIOS for another memory chip manufacturer.
Those errors are from incorrect memory type
