i have Gigabyte P31 and i have problems .. pleas help me !!

here my deal.. My PC working veeery very slowly. i tried every software and every method to solve this problem but i couldn't ..
i also tried running chkdsk, defragmenting the drive and running a full virus / malware scan..

i'm running
- Windows XP professional SP3 32bit
- Motherboard: Gigabyte p31 ES3G
- Processor: intel core 2 Quad q9550 2.83GHz
- Memory: 2 sticks x2GB (king-stone)
- Display: Gforce Nvidia 7300 512MB
- DirectX 9.0c
- AVG internet securty


if any one have tips that may help i would be grateful to him..

Did you buy it and put it together or did you buy it second hand from someone else?

Also what kind of HD is it, the model and manufacturer would be of great help as some have utilities that could possibly fix the problem or tell you what it is ( you can find out what the HD is in your device manager in your control panel ).

If it's a second hand machine it could just be that your hard drive is tired, or the instillation of windows needs to be redone.
