I was trying to flash my bios in order to enable resizable bar feature . I thought I used the right bios version fr gigabyte site. My bios was D20 and I used F22. It said the flash was success and restarted only to have black screen and no signal in hdmi. So not loading. I shut down computer by hand.

I saved my previous bios to the desktop. I used GPUZ to do that

Can I save my card? It's GB 3080 eagle OC

For starters, flash back to original BIOS, force it if necessary. Then we can discuss newer BIOS for Resizable BAR support

I have never done this before. Reading and watching hardware nexus now to collect info. Do I need to get ahold of another card to flash my bricked one? Obviously I can't get anywhere even bios is not being displayed.

I'm never touching this stuff. Man oh man.

Edit: Forgot it was Nvidia, you have to use NVFlash
I think Gigabyte uses different updating method, and the .rom file you saved using GPU-Z will only be compatible with NVFlash.

Yes you will need another video card to flash it back. Doesn't really matter what it is just as long as it has display out so that you can see what you are doing.

OR (worse case scenario) there are ways to write the BIOS chip "on card", but lets hope you will not get there.
More or less complicated, you will save it

If you can't flash it back to a working state RMA it, but DON'T tell them you flashed it, or they'll use that as an excuse to deny you warranty. I've heard complaints on here about Gigabyte support which doesn't give me confidence in them. Just say that it's dead / no picture and that you want a refund or replacement, as you prefer.

Note that since you've used the official BIOS update tool from the manufacturer's site you've done nothing wrong.

I thought there was a button that switched between bioses. Saw steve from Hardware Nexus talk. Not sure if my model has.

According to Gigabyte's site, while Gaming model has dual BIOS listed as a feature, yours does not.

hat said:
nvflash --list
to see what cards you have and what index they've been assigned

nvflash --index=x bios.rom
to flash to a specific card in a multicard system, where x is the index number from the nvflash --list command
Also like said above, if you don't have another GPU or integrated GPU, you'll need to get another one in order to flash it.

I see. Im buying another cheap card.

Is integrated gpu on the motherboard? My z390 gigabyte board has hdmi slot but not sure how to see bios or activate it in bios since my screen is black

Whats the point of Integrated GPU if you can use it.or do i need to take my card out?

Does seem like you can boot to integrated and get into windows to reflash that way.

I use the integrated video on my R5 2400G to flash video cards galore. I refurbished a lot of ex mining cards with UEFI etc

you need to plug the hdmi cable into the motherboard. if it does not display than shut the pc down, take the card out, [ower up the pc and go into the bios and set the integrated video to primary. then shut down the pc and put the card back in while leaving the hdmi cable on the motherboard.

Thanks to everybody involved. Saved my card. Good learning experience as now I know how to brick and un-brick the card haha

Things that helped me

-Having IGP on my motherboard

-Saving the stock BIOS on desktop with GPUZ

-A great guide for using NVFLASH to reflash the bios:

Now my daughter and me can continue with our Horizon Zero Dawn journey at 4k ultra. Amazing visuals!

That's sad, i think he should keep trying to fix it, then at least he may learn not to fck with what's not broken.

How can it be possible so many cards bricked when trying to flash it to get working the Resizable bar feature. doesn't Gigabyte has a tool like Evga has? ( X1 )

It was the official tool that bricked it.
And i am sure Gigabyte wouldn't take the responsibility that the card was bricked using their Official tool
