not if you already have a 120mm fan and most of the Coolers it beats or matches don't come with fans either but are more expensive. For i7 I'd go with the Baram if those are the only 2 to choose from.

Thats is a good cooler and I know frosty tech likes it but I'm not sure it's a better deal because I think the fan on that cooler is loud. 39 DBA and it need a 78 cf fan to match this cooler or for that matter a TRUE.

Yeah for budget I'd get a scythe mugen 2 for $37 at newegg but for top performance I'd do the TRUE or Prolimatech.

I'm not so sure the Baram matches them and is cheaper and in some reviews beats them. However, if is money is no object a Meg Shadow or TRUE black C with dual fans clip fan mounts might better and both look very sinister.

My point exactly as you can see it matches them all in that review and in some it's a degree lower but in other it's wins. It matches my current cooler and is half the price. When it uses two fans it's even better.

I like some of the ideas in place for this cooler. Even if you do have to buy a decent fan yourself it seems to be worth it to me. Kudos on providing a chart. For people with limited space or clearance issues with the tall RAM heat sinks, I say the Baram is worth it. My Sythe Mugen 2 is huge.

I don't believe this chart for a second. I had the Mugen for awhile, and it can't compare to the Mega or the TRUE. Not even in the same ballpark, in a open bench.

Honestly Im waiting on the Mshadow from Prolimatech myself. I have used all of these coolers...bottom line Im using the megahalems now Only issue is the black would look so much sexier in my case.

I just want to say, I like my Mugen 2. It is space hungry, but it works well and it fit into my budget. I knew it was not on par with several other higher end coolers, like the Hammer, True, etc. It can keep up with them at idle due to is shear mass (if I am not mistaken), but not at full load. Still a good cooler for its price range....if you have the space for it.

To be honest, I still reccoment the Mugen over a basic Xig if the case has the room. I like it for its all around mounting ease, can slap a fan on all four sides, and it does very well for its $36 asking price.

The Mega has some of the best mounting I have seen to date, the cooler performs well with the average 80 CFM fan, so bigger is better here. Personally I like the looks of the mega over the Mugen, but still in my top 5.

Oh I got to add I just tested one of the cheapest coolers on the market, and with the right fans I think this cooler could kick some ass....Hyper 212 Plus from CM....they only get like $30 for it retail.

Too bad the cogage true spirit is only socket 1366 - there are still plenty of socket 775 users out there - but a quick google the results are shocking - TRUE level indeed!
