would it be any better to get the corsair h80 then the h70 will my temps go down any?
Highly dependent on room temperature.
Otherwise, you'll see a max 3-5 degrees difference, but more on the lower side.
if you need more cooling then the H80 can give
time to upgrade to a full water loop
so not that much of a difference to be wasting the money on to change. i would think about the h100 if i had the room but my case is a coolermaster stacker and my power supply mounts on top.
Get a Noctua NH-D14, put 3 Noctua fans in a tri-push pull setup on it, then 1 more noctua fan as your exhaust, then 1 more as intake in front of the first fan on the HDD. thats what I do. 5 fans basically super close to your heatsink all in push pull.
my i5-2500k never gets hot and idles around 24 celsius, lol
i don't think all those fans would fit in my case
From a value standpoint, not really a practical idea. Maybe the money can go to a new case?
well i got the h80 for $86 on amazon the reason why i got it is after i get a new case and video card and power supply and drives for my new system im on now im going to use the old parts and rebuild my old system so ill have two systems to play with. ill have a friend come over and we will play tera together.
just installed my h80 and im getting good socket temps 34c on idle and 56c load on prime much better then the h70
