Hiya.
Recently I sold my entire PC because I need a bit of money really quickly. Welp. I had a 2600X and Vega 64 Red Devil with MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard. So I figured I'd just sell it and start again but this time I would do it differently. Adequate performance for the lowest price I could find!
I would call it the Bargain Box. Because honestly I really want to build a great PC that gives me the FPS I need but for the best possible price (or near to..) instead of just getting what I usually buy at a certain price point.. Here's my part list and price: (prices may well have changed though).
AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Quad-Core processor: £92 from Amazon.co.uk Marketplace (it was brand-new, and sealed! I was expecting B -grade but this was a nice surprise).
Asrock AB350M: £50 from Amazon.co.uk
8GB (2x4GB) TeamGroup 2400 Mhz C14 DDR4: £70 from Overclockers UK
Sapphire Radeon RX 570 8GB (+Resident evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5 for free!): £150 from Overclockers UK (this is an amazing deal, it cost the same as the 1050 Ti).
WD green 240GB SATA M.2 SSD: £43 from Overclockers UK
I found a Hitachi 1TB HDD in a broken PC I was given from college xD (it still works fine). Free is the best price :3
Fractal Design Focus G mATX case: £45 from Scan.co.uk (I already had this in my attic for a while but I will list the price I paid for it)
EVGA 500W Bronze powersupply: £20 second hand from a friend*
I reused my Windows 10 license but apparently I can get these for really cheap if I shop around.
So, all fits in just under £500 for a solid 1080p gaming PC. I am really happy with it! I've decided to challenge myself to buy value parts from now on. Funnily enough in games I am actually playing it isn't that different from my old PC at 1080p high settings. A bargain! =^-^=
I plan to poke it a bit over the next few months and change a few things / add some stuff to it. So I think I will get a new 3000 Ryzen CPU when the release, if that new leak is true then R3 3300 will be for me. Hopefully not that much more than what I paid for the 1400. Maybe Navi too, but honestly the 570 has me covered for now (my main game is warframe, and the 570 even manages 1440p with VSR. Awesome).
*Thanks to my awesome friend for this deal. And I know it's been looked after and still has 1 year warranty
Also lower PC parts cost also is less stress for me. Since I like to fiddle and poke my PC a lot and I'm always getting new parts to play with second hand or as gifts :3
So what do you think about my bargain basement PC? xD
