Oddly enough a friend there sent me this for Christmas years ago...the Richfield Cabela's is pretty cool...maybe that's the claim to fame

Without filters over the fans yes. I have some ideas about how to "finish" the experiment so that won't be an issue.

Sure looks like they will

I put a block off plate on the lower fan hole for now. I need a better "scupper" so I can run a lower water level and that will help...but I think a little piece inside to angle the splash away from the front will help. Also the way the water is coming down is too forceful. I need something more like a mist. The smaller the particles the more surface area is being cooling.

The water is going to get dirty from use anyway, so maybe have a little drain plug on it somewhere. Also, some little UV blacklights to fit on there to make it glow in the dark would be :pimp:

The lights could be daisychained with the fans easily as well to some sort of inverter to plug in the wall (I actually have one that has a molex plug if you need it). Anyway, one hell of a job :toast:

Got some great stuff that rhymes with Johnny "Cash" that would be epic in there!!

lol. Looks good, but you're right. It is a sight. Now, having that in the shop, I hope your Vac system works well for those tools or it'll last till the first cut you make and then have to change the water :laugh:

You could put a series of baffles in there, overlapping each other. The air would have no problem going around them (althought they would slow it to some degree) but the water would splash into them and run down, drip off.

If you're thinking of building one, a lot of the ones I've seen were made out of PVC pipe, which is probably more readily available to most people.

I just had a good idea to go ahead with the "radiator"

I can do some small holes in a small PVC tube and then put a bigger tube over it so when the water comes out of the small tube it hits the bigger tube, making it so less noisy. Then after just put a god CFN fan to blow some air to it.
This maybe not be so cool but may work better

As soon as i get some free time maybe i'll try something.

neat, a mist would definetly cool better, you'd just have to monitor the water level pretty closely as the mist would evaporate more rapidly than the stream.

of course then in summer you could reverse the fans and cool yourself. lol

a spraybar that does something in between a mist and a stream might be a more happy medium.

overall looks great, now just add some neon lights, get some E, and throw on the tehcno music.

yea nice you can make a (medical cotton gauze wall) inside the tube and let the water goes through it you would get silent operation and more cold air trust me I have something like it to cool my room

Actually I want cold water. The cold air is not going anywhere special...but that water is going to cool my super powerful Clawhammer on the K8NsPro socket 759 mobo...it's state of the art baby. I might be in a time warp but I'm having a good time :pimp:
