micro usb i run to my PC - and RL I run to my main headphone amp, and the middle circle is for what?

can I plug in like portable amp there? will it still benefit from the DAC or is it bypassing it with that hole? i don't know what that symbol means and i have no manual

It looks like a regular 3.5mm jack. I think it will still use the DAC. You could use it to plug, say, a pair of regular PC speakers into it.

I was thinking its a AC adapter.

It might also be 3.5mm Optical output? Hence the O(for Optical) with an an arrow coming out of it.

I'd confirm what it is before sticking something in there. Putting a 3.5mm headphone jack in a 3.5mm Optical port can damage the port.

My old(very old) laptop had a combo 3.5mm headphone jack/optical so both is very possible.

Yes, that is true, there are combo ports. But my point was that if it is just a standard 3.5mm optical output, then putting a headphone jack in it could damage it.

Either way, the OP needs to confirm what that port is before just sticking stuff in it. Look up the manual on the manufacturer's site, it will tell you I'm sure.

Here's the company's link to their base model DAC - https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-grace-design-standard-dac
It's a 3.5mm stereo out. The unit is powered by the usb port (which is also the input). List is 79.99, which is a good price.

does that mean it does indeed use the DAC then on both the red/white and 3.5mm stereo out ports? so all 3 ports get the DAC filter? if yes, then I am indeed going to dig out my old Logitech 2.1 speakers :)
