I need help with m.2 SSDs and my laptop

Good day!

I have an Acer F15 (F5-573G-57CZ) notebook which is similar to the one on this link but mine only has a 2tb HDD. I'm thinking of buying an m.2 SSD to use as a primary drive and have the existing 2tb HDD as a secondary drive. I'm not sure what to buy though because I've never used m.2 before. I was thinking of buying this. Is it compatible?

No I don't think so. I tried to look up your computer and it seems to be an older model. It most likely as a B keyed slot.

Looking at OP's laptop slot on that photo and the "B keyed" slot M.2 you posted , I'd say it's not a "B keyed" slot.
It seems to me the one OP posted in his first post http://www.samsung.com/us/computing...ate-drives/ssd-960-evo-m-2-250gb-mz-v6e250bw/ would fit.

EDIT It seems Acer themselves are stingy with the info for compatibility as that spec IS NOT IN THE MANUAL!!! But i did find the source here
"Maintenance
The Aspire F15's small maintenance hatch is only fixed to the underside with three small screws. Once these are removed, the plastic cover is held by a few hooks and can be easily taken off. There are slots for a 2.5-inch hard drive, RAM, and a M.2-2280 beneath the maintenance hatch. The M.2 slot is free in our test model. Thus, you can easily add a compatible SSD. However, it is a disadvantage that you cannot reach the battery and the fan after removing the maintenance hatch. The device needs to be further disassembled for cleaning the fan."

Yup I ordered an Samsung MZ-N5E500BW. I wasn't sure as well when I looked at the slot on the laptop so I asked. I wanted to go Crucial but I've been reading a lot of good things about Samsung drives so I thought I'd try it out.

Be aware that some Crucial SSD's doesn't got encryption that's why they are cheaper sometimes.

@adulaamin I hope you will tell us all how the m.2. version of the 850 Evo are, I been looking for those second hand and I can't really find anyone in my country in a fine price range even the 1TB ssd's ppl are like too close to knew price without receipt, and got high read/write on them already

and a new 1TB is just too expensive here so I get them second hand even one or two of my 850's where brand-new when I got it like the 850Evo 250GB I use for backup of my Windows 10
