I NEED TO CUT PRICES.... How should I?

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
MB: ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming (Is on sale rn)
GPU: GTX 1660S
RAM: Samsung DDR4 8GB X 2
PSU: EVGA BQ 500 80+ Bronze
SSD: Crucial MX500 250GB
Case: Zalman N5

Plus,
Wifi Adapter (Can't change because this is the only one that doesn't take a month to ship)
Logitech G402

This adds up to around $895, which is a bit more than my liking. I can cheap out on the GPU a bit but not sure what to buy. Is the GTX 1650S good enough? I upgraded to 1660S cause many people thought it was wayyy better. Recommendations on where I can cut some prices?

BTW) I also have to buy a moniter and a keyboard... so I really need to cut some expenses.

Thanks for your help.

You're already cutting every corner you can
There's not really much else you can do and buying a 4GB GPU in 2020 doesn't make sense. The rest of your parts are ultra budget as it is.

The only way you could possible save some money is going with a 10400 and a budget z490 board or a B460 depending on how much cheaper they are in your region.

Loose the mouse and forget the case. Just make one out of cardboard. Jokes aside you are really just cutting every corner you can. Maybe a used GTX 1070 for around 200$. Depending on how much you spent on the 1660 s.

What the Logitech G402?
As @oxrufiioxo said: No need to cheap out on the GPU. Cut down to a cheaper CPU instead maybe? Also ditch the casing. Just go barebones like my rig.

It's a relatively cheap but decent enough mouse.
Thought so. I'm just making sure.

@RiverFlows73 Yeah, so ditch that Logitech mouse as well. You could either catch a real mouse, stick a USB cord up it's ass & use that as a PC mouse.... Or just buy a $10 wireless mouse like I do.
What about keyboard? Do you already have that?

Hmm I do wanna keep the G402 cuz my hands are really big and my original mouse is microscopic. I used the original one with only my fingers.

No, I haven't got a keyboard yet, and I do plan on buying one. Any suggestions for slim keyboards? (I don't like mechanical)

I guess you guys are saying that I already have a budget pc right? I didn't know a BUDGET pc would cost so much when I jumped into this. I hope this runs well or I could get pissed off lol

Well there are the option to get a B450 board to save a little more. But if it´s the right choise or not is hard to say. With B450 you lose PCIe gen 4 first of all. B450 is only PCIe gen 3.
But with B450, you still have the option for a Zen 3 CPU later in time.

With that said, ASRock B550 Phantom Gaming is already a cheap motherboard. Get a to cheap motherboard, can aslo make you regret it, as you might lose features, you will later regret.

So unless a B450 board, i agreed with the others. You already have cheaped out as far you can while still being sensible. With sensibe i mean, there are cheaper Quad-core CPU like 3300X, but i dont think that is sensible, specilly if you also are gaming. Then you shut not go below 6 cores/12 threads.

If this just gaming only pc then go for cheaper cpu such as 3300x or 10400F , the fps loss from 3600 to one of those cpu is not that massive.
As for the GPU wait a little bit if you could, budget Nvidia/AMD GPU should be released sometimes next month or two if the rumours is true. That way you could get something more powerful than 1660S at same prices or 1660S at cheaper price

Not really... You just have a higher-end budget gaming PC. You'd be surprised but there is also even an $80 budget gaming PC as well.
Hmm I do wanna keep the G402 cuz my hands are really big and my original mouse is microscopic. I used the original one with only my fingers.
Don't worry... A mouse get bigger as they grow older as long as you keep feeding them electricity from their ass. And budget mouse for big hands also exist like the one I use right now.
No, I haven't got a keyboard yet, and I do plan on buying one. Any suggestions for slim keyboards? (I don't like mechanical)
Again, go budget cheap. You can either grab a wooden/plastic board, put a bunch of key-caps on it & call it a "keyboard". Or just buy a cheap-branded budget keyboard... Like me... again....

Too bad you are building now, all the best deals were couple of weeks ago. I saved about 200 on my build, maybe a bit more.

That and none of the sub 300 next gen gpu are out yet and general pc parts are overpriced even budget ones.

I have to agree with everyone else, that you have already spec'd out a low cost rig & there is not much moar cuttin to be done....

However, in the spirit of the holiday season, I would like to contribute to your cause (as I know how it feels to have to settle for low-priced stuff), so if you're in the US and want a used wireless keyboard and a wireless adapter (if ), please pm me... (KB is a Logitech K350, not sure about the wireless adapter brands)

Well there is budget, and then there is budget. I didn’t catch what you want to use the PC for. Depending on what for, it’s possible to go more budget-friendly.

I’ve got a large-hand sized Rosewill Ion D10 mouse I can gift to you and mail if you are in the U.S. it’s a basic gaming mouse but it’s pretty decent.

Here's another build - $652 with shipping and including the mouse. Tax not included.

This is a full $240 less than your initial part list, and $240 is more than enough to buy a decent 1080P monitor + keyboard.

  • 10400 based, wireless AC on the motherboard.
  • Uses a 1660 (not super), which is about 15% faster than a 1650 Super but also ~15% slower than a 1660 Super. The regular 1660 hasn't gotten much love recently but it is in a sweet spot on price relative to the other cards in today's market @$209
  • Storage is a 240GB SATA SSD.
  • The case is a plain but functional Fractal Design Core
  • PSU is a 500W Seasonic
  • 16GB of DDR4-3000, which will only run at 2666 with a 10400 on a B460 motherboard like this, but can do 2933 later if you upgrade to a higher end CPU. This really isn't going to be an issue with a 1660 and a 10400.

Biggest weak spot would IMO be the amount of storage on the SSD. 240GB just isn't enough these days. But, lots of options. Throw another $60-$65 at that and you could get a 1TB SATA SSD.

And yes I did check the 3600 and it is running about $60 more than a 10400, but with the 10400 actually faster for most games the added cost of a 3600 doesn't make any sense whatsoever for a 'cheap as you can go' gaming rig that is viable with new titles at 1080p.

The 3300X would be a great option if it were actually for sale somewhere at its msrp of $125, but I can't find it.

Power Supply 280w laptop power supply
Mouse Logitech m705
Keyboard laptop keyboard
Software lots of movies and Windows 10 with win 7 shell
Benchmark Scores Good enough for me
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

Depending on where you live, ask on facebook groups or craisglist for a free PC case. You can find a free case just about anywhere. People are always wanting to get rid of older cases.
For other PC parts, find used deals on ebay on everything besides the power supply. Never cheap out on the power supply, its the thing that powers everything.

You can drop down to just 8GB of RAM at first and upgrade to 16 later. RAM is easy to upgrade.

He isn't in the US, so pcpartspicker prices don't apply.
