Microsoft unveiled Windows 11 with a sweeping new redesign. So I thought it fitting to do a follow up of my first attempt, and have another go at what GPU-Z would look like if it followed this new design language.

Thought process:
Microsoft's goal with the redesign of Windows 11 was to make the UI friendlier and more approachable. They attempted to do this by implementing a lot of subtle changes, like introducing rounded corners, a new set of icons, and bringing the information that matters front and center. With that in mind, this iteration of GPU-Z tries to embody those changes with cleaner icons, more depth, and having key information at the top, all the while trying to keep GPU-Z as familiar as it was before.

Note: This was designed using Adobe XD, no actual mods were done to GPU-Z itself. Try not to take them too seriously, they are just visual concepts.

Looking good, but using more than 400% the screen space?

Edit, or maybe downscale to 50% ?

Yeah. I scaled it up for presentation purposes only.

@W1zzard, @Fahad -- IMHO, GPU-Z window size (GUI, as well as fonts size) should be customizable! :)
See how CrystalDiskMark does it, for example -- has scaling settings of Auto, then from 100% up to 300%. ;)

Screenshot of 200% scaling, click to zoom in (yes, I know the GUI of GPU-Z is much more complicated than that so will need more work) -->

img-2021-07-21-11-30-52.png

And 100% scaling looks like this:

Yes demand at least $15/hour, and company car.
lol, maybe I should have asked for that when I did the redesign concept for Rufus 3.0. :p

Just kidding though. The positive reception from people and tech media towards the Rufus redesign made it all worth it. GPU-Z and Rufus are some of the apps that I use myself regularly, so just seeing them get updated to look and work better is all the payment I need.

Looks great.

Gpuz is one of the few programs that I put inside a folder with a windows 10 USB drive.
Gpuz, hwmonitor, vlc media player, and graphics drivers are a few of them.

Reimagined the Sensors tab. At the top, the quick info section now adapts to show GPU Load and GPU Temperature, useful for a quick, at-a-glance comparison of how one affects the other.

Below it, and in keeping with the goal of making the UI friendlier and less intimidating, sensors are now grouped by category, and charts are larger. Despite this, the total charts visible is only 3 less than it currently is in GPU-Z before having to scroll (12 v 15).

Hi,
Never saw hiding scoll bars as a helpful feature.
I left space for it, but I forgot to include it.

Generally though, if at least part of the UI is cut off (the Power category), people will assume that it can be scrolled.

Hi,
Yep but often it doesn't cut off anything and is deceptive that nothing else is lower, win-10 was very much like that on many settings pages :)
Just make them narrower should be fine linux does it

Perhaps have an auto show scroll bar that reacts with a hover to that side of the UI or when a scroll event occurs.

If scaled down like W1zz suggested, maybe have the text a bit more dense and larger.

Having said that, I like the 'no frills' styling of GPU-Z in its current form; it cuts straight to the chase.
