Newegg is now shipping the according to the reviews E0 stepping Q9550's
The Time is Now
Pros: Order Date: 9/29/08
S-Spec SLB8V EO Stepping. Package Date: 9/12/08
The time is now people, newegg finally got rid of the SLAWQ C1 stepping supply and is now shipping EO q9550s.
Cons: As usual, the stock heatsink fan is only good for stock settings (idle cores 31,34,38,42 c, all in the 55s range on 100% load with 27c-ish ambient room). But considering dishing out $325 for this cpu, you might as well buy an aftermarket heatsink for it.
Other Thoughts: I was expecting C1 stepping when i ordered this cpu (due to a previous fried cpu), much to my surprise, it was the EO!!!! Thank you newegg x]

These Q9550 should do 8.5x471 or 4.0ghz no problem.

Done some 8.5x multi E0 simulations for Trt with my Q9650 on that link.
I bench at 4.45gig on low volts and running pretty cool on air, mine runs at 4gig 24/7 on 1.26V........ highly recommended! and thats with just a flat average batch....there are better!

You have gotta be careful that Newegg have not got a mixed shelf of C1's and E0's and you just take "pot luck"....some do that which means a lot get dissapointed

See in the UK they would not accept a return for that reason period, if the chip works then it's not an RMA, RMA is for faulty goods, unless of course they guarantee the stepping? We have a period mwhere we can legally change our minds and therefore return it for a full refund, but if that is the case, the box must be un-opened and the item unused......not good!
