I wish more dualies were beauties like this (and more existed).

There are similar but very few get the aesthetics, the balance of design (even the 2x2 / 4x4 DIMM slots is done well as a compromise), etc, right like this; the PCB edges, heatsinks, power connectors, spacing, lack of SMD & other clutter...

theres something about a @p board that makes it instantly cooler than even the sweetest looking 1p board ....but those EVGA boards are a cut above

Those little high RPM fans suck. Probably wouldn't buy it because of that.

That said, the dual socket platform is aimed at servers and high-end workstations. Aesthetics aren't a priority.

Except these aren't SuperMicro or other brands that just want to shove something in a box. These weren't marketed to enterprise. Clearly aesthetics matter here, including build quality since these were aimed at enthusiasts. ASUS and Gigabyte still make aesthetically pleasing dualies. In fact, ASUS makes practically the exact same board, one marketed to enthusiasts, one to the server market and the enthusist one actually has MORE features while being aesthetically pleasing; seriously, look it up. There's a big & wide middle ground between enterprise and gamers. There's no reason to ignore it.

my z77 FTW, while only a single CPU board is almost a mirror of that

EVGA boards no matter how many sockets always look superior to most other boards imo. That color scheme is sexy

The beauty is in the eye of the beholder for me it is the importance of cooling solution for the power phase

I love that board too because of the PCB. When I first saw them I wrote major props to EVGA for the PCB cutouts. It's such a good idea and looks great & unique. The ports are also positioned well. EVGA seems to be the only one that does 90 degree power connectors. It's a shame more don't!

My only problem with that board and others like it, is it seems ATX is turning into glorified mATX. I personally hate that. EATX seems to be alone now, overall, for the original functional purpose of ATX, maximizing I/O potential; example the RAM is gimped for X299 there.
