It has a smaller block than the H50 to make it fit in my applications than the H50.

YIKES! that reminds me of a guy who put a stock cooler on a Pentium D (without TIM)
1. reseat your cooler (and check your TIM) because those temps are just crazy for stock.
2. get a new cooler and good TIM (H70 or the good air coolers if you plan to OC a big amount)

I saw an i7 on youtube with this cooler and @ 4GHz it has up to 50c in idle. I would totally buy this.

A Megahalems or Venomous X with a couple of gentle typhoons will give you similar temps as the H70. You'll save yourself $30 or so using the Mega. As far as your overclocking goes, you need to test your OC for stability and adjust voltages as needed. However, considering your current temps, I would not overclock at all until you address your cooling needs. I'm also suspicious that you hve not enough or too much thermal paste, or the cooler is not seated properly.

I have removed the fan (because i was fixing the wirings and some wires kept touching the sides of the fan and has no solution but to remove the fan then fixing the wiring then put it back) and I think some of the paste were removed but before i did that removing it was the same performance as it was when i didn't remove it. The cooler is seated properly

Just to get this clear - you have NO fan on your cooler?

Edit: When you remove "some of the paste" you are not helping yourself. You remove ALL and clean it with alcohol and put new on, about a rice grain in size.

Actually it is a fan. Stock fan from intel. And i didn't remove some of the paste. I said I THINK I might have removed some while I was rearranging the wiring. IDK if some were really removed.

So, if I read that post right, you removed some of the TIM and unplugged the HSF... I'd check the underside of that heatsink (and take a pic or 2) and see how much TIM is left. Remove it all, and replace it with some good TIM.

On water mine maxes 55C priming 1.32 vcore and 1.275 VTT. Idle is 30-37 depending on core. Hot in here lately too.

Get an aftermarket cooler on that asap before you do damage to it.

Ive seen a P4 with scorch mrks on it.

the corsair H70 units are good but a high end aircooler can do about the same. for a little less. just my 2c.

Wow. That's pretty low. I wanna have it too! I noticed you have a custom cooler? idk but if I buy a h70, would it perform same as yours?

those HX0 coolers are meh, they are too expensive for theyr performance. custom watercool ftw. go for a high end air cooler like the scythe yasya.

Check the forums, google a bit. Custom water will be a bit more complicated than air, but if done correctly, it will cool a lot better than air. The H70 might be close (in performance) to high end air, but it is easier to install than custom water.

So, if I have the time, I should get custom water, but if I am busy to install from scratch, I should get the h70? Just like the Alienware, if I have time I build my own PC from scratch and get 2x performance than Alienware but if I don't I buy alienware and it is all ready for play. So I think custom water cooling is better?

Hmm... Only thing with custom water is the cost (more parts than air) and maintenance (check for leaks regularly). And it involves lots of measuring (Someone with a custom water loop add something here).

I want my inside to look good you know, like having a water cooler with those pipes makes my pc look more decent. But if you would suggest, what fan has the performance, AND design?

Yea it could, as my m8s P4 had scorch marks on it after it hit 100c and thats all couse he didnt put thermal paste on it =/

It still works till this day, but yea ive never seen a cpu get that hot before.

Well, if space is an issue, the H70 is pretty good. But the only problem with good air coolers is that the high-end ones are pretty HUGE. Thermalright's Silver Arrow, Noctua's nh-d14, Prolimatech's Megahalems are some of the best air you can get. But, they are kinda expensive, HUGE, and can be a bit noisier than water.
