I saw people get 12250 Score with this CPU but I am not even close. I get 8303 score on multi-core benchmark. I have 2400 MHz single-channel 16 gb ram. Ram could be the problem because of single-channel but I dont think it would make that much difference. Any idea why this is happening? My bios settings and CPU info that I took while I was benchmarking:

so you run a single 16gb stick with timings like back when X99 came out?

that's totally your problem. you probably have less memory bandwidth than a smartphone

So ram is causing the problem? I didnt think it would make that much difference (12250 to 8303)

Also do I have a different option than buying a new ram?

Do you have 2 sticks of RAM or just one? If it is just 1 16GB stick, then no you can't really do anything until you buy more RAM. Single channel DDR4 2400MHz gives only 75% of the bandwidth of dual-channel DDR3 1600, and that was obsolete years ago. And now you have 8 cores all traying to share that extremely limited memory bandwidth.

The memory speed and configuration is as basic as it can be, in other words it’s just slow.

Also Geekbench is utter trash anyway.
