somewhere
If given the choice I'd get the 8750H, as it's a hexa-core and features a higher max boost frequency (4.1 vs 3.8). I'm not sure what the boost table looks like but the extra cores would definitely make a difference especially in newer games.

Throttling depends on Ambient temp and how great or crappy the laptop cooling is along with how great or crappy the power brick is.

How long is a piece of string?

Going off the CPUs listed, I'm going to assumed you're looking at laptops, so much of the throttle question relies on the design of the laptop. Is the CPU paired with a powerful GPU? Is the cooling shared between CPU and GPU? How many fin stacks and heat pipes? Is it single or twin fan? Is there adequate vents? What form factor is the laptop? Is the laptop marketed as thin and portable or is it targeted at gamers?

Your best bet is to try and find a thorough review of the laptop you're considering.

Thank you for the replies!

Is it thrue that the i7-8750H throttles more?

See my message above, laptops today are built like crap compared to 2004.

If you are serious about gaming build a itx system

TBH all of my recent threads I created are to help me in the decision of buying of a gaming laptop.

I am in a big doubt between buying of these two gaming laptops:

and

HP OMEN 17.3", i7-8750H, 16GB/256GB SSD 1TB HDD 7200 rpm, GTX1070 8 GB GDDR5

and

ASUS GL703GS-E5011 - Intel Core i7-8750H (2.2 GHz, 9M Cache, up to 4.1 GHz), 16GB DDR4 (1 mem.slot free), 256GB PCIE G3X4 SSD + 1TB 5400 rpm SSHD (8 GB cache size).

So I would finally please all of you to help me in the decision.

I don't know which one is better, has better cooling, less known issues etc.

Please help me,I would be very grateful!

I've heard that the Asus overheats and throttles ,and the HP has better cooling but bad fans setup.

I have an Acer Helios 300 and an older asus rog laptop. With unrestricted air flow they are fine for cooling. Meaning raise the the laptop up a little and you will be fine. I use 1/2" high by 2" long blocks of wood to raise mine up.

No I don't have a laptop at the moment.

I would like to buy a new one and in a doubt between these two:

From my quick search both look solid, however the asus only has 1 stick of 16gb ram while the omen runs 16gb in dual channel. So I vote in the Omen.

Throttling is a fallacy. If you are mainly gaming you dont need to worry with throttling with those low clocked cpu's.

I think I can change the single 16 GB RAM stick ,for 2x8 GB to activate the dual-channel mode on the Asus.

Lithium-Polymer batteries suck though...

http://blog.ravpower.com/2017/06/lithium-ion-vs-lithium-polymer-batteries/
However you're probably not gaming on battery power with such a laptop.

i have a g7 dell with an 8750h installed. it did thermal throttle a little at high loads, but there are a ton of videos on youtube on using throttlestop and undervolting it., that has stopped all thermal throttling on my cpu...its a beast of a cpu, just have to either have well over engineered cooling or undervolt it a bit and you are golden
