Yea I saw those, there is no reason to doubt them. The scaling isn't off for what that stuff should be able to do.

Silly....you dont run 1.5volts on "air".

Sure you can! Why not? That article was all about air and the CPU they used topped out at just 46°C with 1.504V at full load. That's barely above "cool". It is silly to believe water cooling is the only way to go - especially since it is really the case's responsibility to provide an adequate flow of cool air through the case and the CPU cooler need only toss the CPU's heat in to that flow.

actually some other people are more interested in IPC % increase ... but from 6X00K to 7X00K i doubt it will be more than 5% ... (i can't recall if it was already mentioned somewhere about the performances difference between Skylake and Kabylake ... )

LN2 OC are boring in the end ...

Again bill you didnt do your homework....you didnt read the source. There is a link to it in the article and it shows the temp of 46C wasnt a full load temp. This was just the max that one of the core hit while idling at the desktop. Take a closer look at see that one of the other cores only got up to 38C. Do you still conclude these are "full load" temps?

From that article,

The chip voltage was adjusted to 1.504 Volt which seems rather high. The tester says that the chip was very stable on 5.1 GHz and the temps were pretty good considering the voltage used.

The chip kept itself under 30C on idle and didn’t went past 46C on max load. There’s no telling what air cooler was used but it should be a good one.

You said you don't run 1.5V on air. Yet there they did.
