If you had just one game to play for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I'm glad I quit WoW 11 years ago but if I could only have one game, I'd probably go back to it because it is constantly being expanded and there's so much replayablility.

I'm still salty that Halo5 isn't on PC. It would be like watching a TV show where you get seasons 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 only.

I played WoW for a long time, then classic for a while, just got bored of it though. i guess it is still pretty good though for losing yourself.

Assuming these games get updated seasonally it probably would be Destiny 2. If no updates every came again I would go with CS: Source.

Same, and it seems like the only option for me is playing it on an original Xbox One, no bueno.

This is a hard one. I love my Fortnite (almost 1900 hours last I checked I should touch some grass lmao) and Battlefield but those are multiplayer and if you played either for too long you'd probably die from exhaustion. I would have to pick Minecraft assuming online games are off the table I've played the game so much I'm burnt out but after a while I could get back into it and enjoy just living the simple life (that and building a railroad for months at a time just to ride it a couple of times).

Tough question, I can’t seem to game for more than an hour at a time :D

I was really into COD, but I haven’t played anything newer than 10 years old from them lately. I lived in Nuketown, have a few thousand hours racked up

No Man's Sky probably -- assuming they keep updating and adding stuff to it like they've been doing. The current state of that game is amazing.

Okay, so Immortal Empires is out in TW Warhammer 3 and I pressed buy two days ago.

I think this is the one, for real. I mean... 300+ turn campaigns with... euhm...
Might turn ancient before I get to them all

Make sure you get the Radious Mod, Recruit Defeated Legendary Lords and Mixu's Unlocker that adds factions. They just added a patch so some of these mods might not work right now but that combination will be so enjoyable if you are into battles and want to stand a chance against the vanilla Campaign using certain factions.

I love pointless atmospheric space stuff... so relaxing.
The only time TWWH is relaxing is the Campaign map. For the first 5 turns. Once you are at 50+ you should be hooked.

I will eventually, but I generally wait because like you say, mods get broken all the time and then so does your campaign / intended game night :D It happened way too often for comfort in WH1/2...I'm already enjoying the 'cheat' of 2 skill points per lord, more than enough to pull me through so far, but then I only did Cathay (hard).

I do also enjoy the harder factions tbh, that challenge to get the early game advantage is a real puzzle to solve, I like that ;)

If its only gonna be one game, I think I gotta let it go. As much as Ill obsess over one game and play it over and over... I don't know... there has to be more to life than just playing ONE game, forever.

Newness is a big component to what drives me as a person... not as part of some philosophical or religious ideology, but ADHD. The idea of doing any one thing forever makes me feel like jumping out of my skin.

There comes a point every few months where I need to start being a different person, do different things for fun, because my brain literally just starts dropping input and the drop is steep. When normal people get bored in life, they can still generally take care of themselves and do what they need to do. I lose my mental faculties and pretty much forget how to exist as an adult. Playing the same game forever is pretty much just gonna dull me out for very little enjoyment and push me towards a decline in my keeping of daily tasks and routines. I kinda just can't do it to myself. Managing this stuff aint a game. I can have a pretty bad life with this whole deal, if Im not minding my activities.

I could work a single game into that cycle, I guess. Make it 'special' for myself. I kind of already do that with my absolute favorites. But there are only so many ways for a person to mentally recontextualize one piece of entertainment before things fall fallow, at which point eeking out more just feels to me like a herculean endeavor. Just this terrible, very dire feeling of dysphoria, like having an itch you havent been able to scratch for 10 years. ADHD, mannn. I can put every drop of life force into something one day as though my intuition was made for that thing, and then wonder why I cared at all the next. So its very difficult to imagine what my 'forever game' would even be like.

I played as Cathay when the Game first launched they are all right. It felt nice and comfortable though playing as the High elves becoming allies with all the forces of good to setup outposts and recruit things like Grail Knights, Trebuchets and Tree Kin into my High elf army. I expect that by the end of the year the patches should subside as next year should be all about DLC.

Give Everspace 2 a whirl and enjoy it. Totally immersive world and story to keep you but sandbox to intrigue you.
