Yeah i realised a spare video card here and my onboard were crossfire compatible, so i decided to do some testing.
3dm06 isnt too popular these days, but i decided to use it since the CPU wont be changing, and vantage would be too rough on the PC.
Test setup:
Windows 7 x64, build 7000
4GB DDR2 800MHz
Athlon 64 x2 4000+ (2.1GHz)
Gigabyte mobo who's name eludes me right now (will edit in later)
Asus radeon 3450 'super' 512MB
Onboard radeon 3200 set to 128MB
radeon 3200 IGP:
SM2.0 : 436
SM3.0 : 525
CPU : 1405
total : 1333
asus 3450 512MB
SM2.0 : 536
SM3.0 : 602
CPU : 1483
total : 1568
Crossfire!
SM2.0 : 692 (~30% faster)
SM3.0 : 830 (~37% faster)
CPU : 1510 (faster, but within the range of random change)
total : 2056 (~31% faster)
This post will be updated after i reboot the machine with the new video card. Try and save your comments until then! (gimme 15 minutes!)
Edit: done
