Iiyama's 21.5-inch ProLite T2234MC, launched last week, might be a wee bit too small for certain kinds of kiosks, for such applications the company announced out the bigger 23.6-inch ProLite T2452MTS. Featuring a capacitive touchscreen that's reinforced by durable, scratch-resistant 7H glass, the T2452MTS features a flexible stand that helps orient it in highly ergonomic ways to touch on desks, when not latched onto other surfaces with its VESA wall-mount.

As a display, the ProLite T2452MTS features the usual stuff for its dimensions: 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 2 ms response time, 260 cd/m² brightness, 1000:1 static contrast ratio, and mega-contrast. Unlike the T2234MC, it features a dated TN-film panel that's LED-backlit. 2W stereo speakers come standard. Display inputs include DVI, D-Sub, and HDMI. Hitting stores in January, it is priced at 31,800¥ (US $387.5).

Too expensive for Tn, touch screen or not.

And on a semi-related side note: Where are my capacitive touch overlays for existing monitors dammit? I don't want my panel cheaped out to get touch at a decent price.
