well about 10 minutes ago i managed to break my fourth pair of Sony MDRV150 headphones so i figure its time for something new. Looking for something new that will only be used for music as i have a Senn headset laying around for when i get my gaming itch. Music range is everything from trance to melodic death metal so they have to be balanced. Looking to stay within a ~$50usd price range but will go higher if needed :toast:

not really a fan of in ear headphones, maybe its just bad experiences but i think i would get them as a last resort, thanks for the input though:toast:

CX-300 is awesome..
cheap, and the sound quality is excellent.
if you want a pair of cheap headphone
i'd reccomend HD202 or HD228
both are good.

I dont know if these are sennheisers, but if they are, well I'd recommend them too (I used the S HD202, pretty darn good). For the price, they are pretty good. I'm no expert though, I bet you if Kursah was here, he'd have some great recommendations for you, he seems like the tpu guru for headphones. ;) Hope he sees this thread.

i'm using the HD202 for almost 3 years, and still going strong.

I'd vote for Senn PX100, great SQ (for its price), portable and foldable, can feel a bit flimsy though.

JVC HA-RX700. Apparently it puts even the more expensive rivals to shame. And its relatively cheap
