My A8N had a faulty chip fan, but I just disabled the hw montoring in the BIOS and disconnected the mofo.

I would go 7800GT:)

I'd get a Seasonic or Antec 500 or 550 watt psu. Yea, its a tiny bit overkill for your current components but if you wanna oc or later add a next gen high end vid card (like 7800 GTX) its what u need. Seasonic, in particular, are expensive as heck but you get SUPER QUIET with it.

or....would a OCZ 520W be good too? id also get a 7800 GT to maybe add another 7800 GT later (id have to change the board then... but i dont really care...), and what is wrong with the A8N?

The A8N has a small chipset fan which in some cases (like mine) sounds like a machine gun going off inside your case:) (caused by the fan blades catching on the guard) As I said, I just disconnected it but I guess you could pull the sucker off if you had the cojones. No problem!

Prior to 2004 OCZ was a major ripoff company, many complaints were filed against them. I think they are under new management since then.

The OCZ 520 watt Modstream psu is rated good but personally I do no biz w/ that company.

Well it looks like you are dishing out quite a bit of money. If I were you I would just spend a little more and go with one of the 7800s or X1800s (your preference); isn't it only about $50-$ 70 more for an X1800 or 7800 when compared to and X850 XT? Both these cards give and take in areas so just do the research and get what you prefer.
