I was looking at the custom front panels on performance-pcs.com . I really liked there custom front panels for the 011 Dynamic XL. So I ordered one with fan mounting holes so I could push some air thru the front of the case. When I mount the fans inside the case, the fan noise is annoying as hell. There Noctua AF120-s 1200rpm fans...there basically silent...but when I mount them inside as intakes, I get this annoying increase in what is normally a dead silent PC case...SO I have done the the unimagenable...BEHOLD!

So I either have stupid looks but quiet case, or quiet case with annoying whirring. Toughts? (also no I don't leave the glass front pane on, it would choke the GPU at the moment...wtb FTW3 3080 waterblock PST.

Sometimes it can be the opposite. I had some 120mm fans in the front of my case that were quite loud, until I put the front cover with the dust filter back on.

The loud sound in pull is becouse the fan blade is too close to the mesh grill. If you add some spacers (1cm cartboard frame or rubber frame etc) between fan and mount bracket ,all the bad sounds will dissapear.

It's because of air resistance, when a fan pushes air through something it creates a lot of turbulence and noise but when air gets pulled through that effect is greatly diminished.

Yolo I guess but I'm surprised the front intake is even neccessary. My 2080 ti air cooled doesn't break 65C in my XL with the fans running at 6-700RPM

The setup in the picture is working perfectly, my noise levels are down again...it just looks ugly as sin.

it looks like from turbulence that made in space between then fan and the front panel then amplified by the case

You missed the O.P. which clearly shows three intake fans on the bottom of the case?

Couldn't see them in the reflection. But then why put something in front when the case has another set of intakes available on the right side panel? I hope it wasn't for looks.

so the OP is replacing the original front panel from a 3rd party supplier and has complaints about noise?

What ever could go wrong? Can we get pics of this panel separately?

If in that image, that is the panel installed with the fans, I am not surprised there is excessive noise.
