The In Win 904 is aiming to accomplish one thing: to make computers beautiful. And it does, strutting its mixture of thick aluminium and tempered glass around perfectly. Consider it the McLaren of cases: too tight for that family of four, senselessly expensive to most, but put it into a row with all the cases out there and people will look at it in awe.

I respect it for what it is but I'd rather have a plastic window that isn't tinted. I personally wouldn't buy this if I was in the market for a clean looking case.

Editor's Choice? For the rich, yeah.

The average Joe can buy a full PC for the price of this case.

Very nice, this is "just different enough". Too many designers think uniqueness means creating gaudy or gimmicky cases, in which case they almost always go too far.

Couple things In-Win could do:

- They should cut a hole in the 5.25" drive bay and make the blank a washable filter. If you're not utilizing that space, then the power supply could be reversed.

- Try to clean up the front USB/audio wires and the intake fan area. I know, minor quibble because when tied up those wires aren't going to restrict airflow all that much, but at this price, I'm going to bring it up.

Other than that, all I could request is that In-Win will bring us an mITX case done in this style! :)

Agreed - especially in the US due to the price difference. But what choice do you have if you really want a chassis like this and how much will it cost you? If you look at the available choices out there, then the 904 is a pretty damn sexy one for that crowd.

Looks great, but damn at that price. it would be much higher in Canada.

Also I notice that your backplate mounting is incorrect and would have issues if you tried to get testing on temps.
The notches are suppose to go around the screws.

:) Good eye! I will fix that for future reviews. TBH, there is no CPU on this board ;).

Intriguing case, I'd maybe use it in an artist's studio office or something for the look, but for myself I couldn't get the cooling performance I need out of it.

  • No fans included out of the box
Please explain to me, why this is a negative thing?

If we talk about cheap cases, then yes, fans should be included. However, it is a completely different thing with expensive cases, as chances are pretty high, that the user will replace the stock fans anyway. So it's a good thing, that those users do NOT have to pay for a random fan model they would throw out anyway. It's basically not possible to equip a high end case with a proper fan, that will satisfy any potential customer out there.

In Germany it costs 180 EUR (=250 USD).

How about satisfying the users that already spent 250$ on the case and dont want to spend another 30+ on fans that should be included with the price?
