well it is installed on a second hd. can i use the files and settings transfer wizard to bring files and stuff from windows xp?

i have had it for a while now i downloaded it off Bittorent, it took for ever to download, but it was worth it..i have a key for it too when you download it.right now i am trying to find a audio driver that will work on vista...any ideas?

You could have downloaded it legit from M$ as a beta a while back, but now they stopped doing it.

did u use the code from the previous ver or did u get a new 1?
i haven`t installed vista beta yet cause i get my burner on teusday with my new hdd (raptor).
i also would like 2 know if i can use my old code from the previous ver?

i am pretty sure you can, i am using the 64 bit activation code with the 32 bit version

I've just installed Vista preRC1 after seeing the newsflash on this site and so far :twitch:

it seems very nice, and much better than Beta 2.

I tried beta 2 on my old dog of a system (athonxp2700+, 1 Gbpc2700, 9600pro) and it ws an appalling , stuttering mess. Rc1 is much improved and I've run MotoGP3 on it nicely. Haven't managed to connect to the web yet as I'm on wireless and am probably being a bit thick :banghead:

Yeah, I used the code I got with Beta 2 and it worked fine

As to the original question the answer is no. You can not use file and transfer sttings on xp to vista. The whole point of vista was to change it so much for security. Thats why you have to find all new drivers and so on maybe in the final release you will be able to use it but on beta 5384 it isnt possiable.

It is available in BDD, as well as Winders PE, and OOBE (out of box experiance) that allows me to bundle drivers and additional software into the build for the install.

I dunno how much I am allowed to say due to the NDA.
