Trying to install Windows 10 on the HP Laptop Stream 11-d010nr but have some major issues. The Touchpad don't work but the keyboard does. The Wifi don't work (have to use a external usb adapter and... been trying to use the drivers from hp but get errors and using Driver Booster or 3DP App. fails to install the Drivers. Trying one last time on this. Will Update...

Linux OS works just fine though. Been using CloudREADY OS ATM :)

I'm using build 1607 but the Wifi seems to work but the touchpad don't. I installed the driver and even restarted. Nothing!

Wifi works but where's the link he mentions in the link above? not seeing it
It says that there is a new version of the IO driver on the HP website driver section, dated 7/16 however there the only IO driver mentioned is from 2014

I believe he is talking about this I/O driver.

Older one... for Windows 8.1 and 10 (64 bit)
Intel Serial IO Driver without Connected Standby Support
Version : 603.9600.1948.29470 Rev.A(17 Oct 2014)

Newest, I could find... for Windows 10 (64 bit)
Intel Serial IO Driver without Connected Standby Support
1.1.253.0 Rev.A(23 Jul 2015)

EDIT:
I think the first one is the one you need, as it shows to be for the i2c and gpio.
The GPIO driver is what is needed for the touchpad to function correctly, I believe... if I remember correctly.

Before i download and try to install... how will/would this make the Touchpad work?

This may help explain why you would need the driver.
The i2c and gpio driver lets windows communicate with those devices.

Here is a download link to a Microsoft Channel 9 PowerPoint presentation (You will need PowerPoint or equiv. to view it) on the subject: Accessing GPIO, I2C, and UART Devices

The bios update that I link in my earlier post is for improved keyboard support on Intel-based systems running windows 10 I recommend at least try it if you're comfortable with a bioS flash that is

Did you try to run it as administrator (right click on file and choose run as admin)?
Is your touchpad enabled? Does it show in device manager?
Does device manager show any problems or unknown devices?
Are there any settings in your BIOS for i2c, gpio, or touchpad?
Have you run the Intel INF update utility?

Yep, you should update to latest BIOS, as jboydgolfer stated , in the above post.

the user who said the download fixed theyre issue on the other forum linked earlier, posted it was a I/O driver, but the only download on that site, that is current, and also matched exactly the date that user mentions is the bios file i linked.. i think they misposted the type of download it was, unless it was the date that was wrong. Either way though, it cant be a coincidence that its a bios update for additional Keyboard functionality.

I just gave up. Yes i tried Admin. (Not sure why one would need to though) and the BIOS has no options to which you listed and Device Manager showed 4 unknown devices

Firmware F.08 A is what i have which is the latest. Linux though works fine

Edit: I'll try one last time. If i download these will it work?

Yes, try all of those chipset drivers. It should not hurt any thing.

Don't give up! Try and figure out the unknown devices... those are probably the trouble.

You may want to try uninstalling some. (right click on them and choose uninstall). Then look in the device manager menu and do a rescan (Scan for new devices).

Also, try loading the device drivers in safe mode, maybe.

I gave up and installing CloudREADY if DriverBooster and 3DP App. had issues installing those Drivers then i think the Laptop wasn't meant to be reinstalled as far with Windows 8 cause i think HP somehow pre-installed the Drivers then i guess just never uploaded the correct ones for the laptop. Just saying...
