Hi, I am in a pickle, I can only build an 11600 based system, new, for the price a customer has, but having not used one I'm clueless how good the Igpu is, is it possible to play fortnight, Minecraft and rocket League on, and where is the line ,Tomb raider, cyberpunk?!, he's young and non competitive ATM.

fortnite should be fine with the performance mode and all settings to the lowest (for native 1080p 40-60 FPS)
with let's say 90% scaling it should be more than playable.
Minecraft, no Problem.
Rocket league should run close to fortnite. (40-60 fps at 1080p low)

Intel DG 2 suppisedly will only have 1050 performance.

Id suggest 720P and low graphics detail.

Oh well I think that would be fine, especially since it's that or nothing sigh, and it will still be a better pc in terms of quality of hardware than an OEM built one.

I do have some really crap GPU about, like an Nvidia 940 low profile office based thing and AMD firepro equivalent 5470 but they're not up to nothing so it's Igpu only at the moment, you can get what you can get eh.

absolutely.

and GPU prices are already coming down a lot.

The line depends on settings and resolution. I know for sure that Cyberpunk won't run. Tomb Raider (2013) is rather easy to run and so is Rise of the Tomb Raider, The Shadow of the Tomb Raider is pretty much out of question, unless you are willing to put up with less than 720p and are willing to mod it. Perhaps 576p would be low enough to reach consistent 30 fps at lowest settings. Otherwise UHD 750 should run GTA 5, Forza Horizon 4, R6 Siege well. UHD 750 is pretty good and it can play almost any game at 30-40 fps. If you ignore some of the latest AAA titles, then most likely it will run them well. It almost runs RDR 2 at 1600x900, perhaps at 1280x720 it will run it well. I haven't used Intel graphics myself, but if they have any sharpening, then it should be really helpful. If it doesn't have anything, you could use Reshade with CAS to make games look a bit more high res.

And since you will be memory bandwidth limited, there will be a big performance hit from raising resolution, even greater than from more complex geometry. So I wouldn't really expect UHD 750 to run anything well in resolutions over 1920x1080. Maybe some really old games, but that's it.

Yep, Intel graphics have improved a lot. Intel already was working a lot with UHD 630 and UHD 750 is even better. Before these two iGPUs, Intel graphics were poo. SO much poo that even old games like NFS MW (2005) didn't run well except on low settings and 800x600. UHD 750 is not too far off Vega 11, but when compared to dedicated card, it's about half of GT 1030 GDDR5 (which is very roughly as fast as GTX 460). And considering that you will be getting i5 11600, it should be really decent at emulating stuff. Most likely it can emulate PS2, Wii, Dreamcast and PS3. Emulators are notoriously very CPU heavy and not very demanding on GPU, unless you want to emulate at 4x resolution with tons of MSAA and other extras. RPCS3 has an official compatibility list:

Around 60% of titles are playable without issues.

Whether UHD 750 is good or not, depends on buyer and buyer's tech literacy. If buyer only knows how to open game and play it without touching settings, then UHD 750 won't do well. If your buyer knows better than that UHD 750 can be OK. IMO you should inform your buyer about expected performance so that they don't have unrealistic expectations.

Same Intel 750 graphics yet cheaper. Pair it up with a cheap B560 board. Check PriceSpy UK for better prices.

While I'm all for saving cash whenever possible, it's not the best advice for B560 buyers. Many low end boards are essentially e-waste and can't even provide proper power to CPUs. There is a lot of drama with B560:

Treat B560 as minefield and don't attempt to be a Scrooge with them, it will bite you in your ass. To be honest, it's not only B560, that you should be careful with, but pretty much anything Comet Lake and Rocket Lake. Pretty much all chipsets are affected by poopy boards, even Z boards. And cheaping out on CPU I guess is okay, but Mr.K really shouldn't look at 11400 as it has cut down iGPU and it's not as fast as UHD 750, which is just so so.

Buy one of these if you want to play on iGPU 5 4650G, R7 4750G, R5 5600G, r7 5700G.

Get at least 3200MHz ram, but better with 3600 or even 3800.

Can't say much about intel latest iGPU. Been using my self for few months and 4650G gets the job done :).

Help me out here please. Is 110 quid cheap? Spend 40 quid on a cpu cooler and he can run that cpu 24/7 with the power limits turned off in the bios.

There's little to no difference between 3200Mhz and 3600Mhz RAM with these 11 gen cpu's.

I'm not talking about intel cpu, but ryzen. Mentioned before that if he wants to use iGPU then should pick amd and on amd apu you can feel the difference although it will be from 2-5fps depends.

If he can't get 5600G/5700G or 4650G/4750G then intel it is I guess.

Below videos with comparison against low end gpu and intel cpus with igpu.

Perhaps it's better to say cheaply engineered boards, not exactly cheap boards. Anyway, MSI B560 Bazooka from VRM temperatures looks exceptionally good. You shouldn't be anxious about buying that board. I personally wouldn't disable power limits of CPU for power savings, minimal performance loss, better thermals and quieter operation. But if you really want that extra, it's possible to spend less than 40 dollars on good enough cooler. There are decent coolers in 25 dollar range, like this DeepCool Gamaxx 400:

It's fine if all you want to cool is i5. It's not so good if you want to cool i9.

Depending on region, there is Ryzen APU shortage and thus APU build is unavaible or is too expensive. I'm pretty sure that OP is aware that AMD APUs are faster than Intel CPUs.
