Anyone know why my write speed would be about half of what it could be? Intel advertises a max write speed of 480 but I am around 220 on a couple of different bench\mark tools. I realize I am not going to be at 480 but I thought it would be higher then that.

Thanks

The sustained write speed on those drives are pretty slow, 480MB/s is the write to cache speed.

Is the firmware up to date and are you using the latest Intel RST drivers?

Write speed isnt very important. Freespace and firmware isnt going to make it any faster. The drive can only write 120mb/s sustained. The write caching helps speed things up under normal use.
