Intel ARC A750 flashing

I'm trying to update my ASRock Intel Arc A750 Challenger SE card using this tool. It was running 101.3268, and I got the firmware flashed to the 101.6881 version. None of the OPROM files are compatible using this tool.

For example:
OPROM DATA Version: 14 00 2C 04 00 00 00 00
OPROM DATA Version: 14 00 31 04 01 00 00 00
Error: The image is not compatible with the device, check vid/did

Is running a different firmware version than the OPROM files a 'problem'? (doesn't seem to be a problem so far) and is there a way for me to find the right files for my card?

Any other details i can provide? Should i make this a new thread?

Yes they are.

and is there a way for me to find the right files for my card?
See thats the problem. The assumption there is.

Firmware and oprom changes do not always happen in lock step and just because other cards got an update or are a higher version does not mean your card needs them or that they will even work.

Those are all the public firmware files.

ASRock has decided not to bump it above 14 00 2C 04 00 00 00 00 and that could be because:

- The other manufactuers were adjusting clocks
- Others needed to adjust voltages
- Others needed to adjust fan speed
- Others needed to adjust curves

- Asrock didnt need to do any of that for that model
- They havent gotten to it yet
- They are waiting to bundle other fixes in a future firmware

1000 other reasons not listed.

Just send me your card and I’ll brick it for you. Save you the effort.
