I have been using the 4670K's built in graphics for a while, after my cat pissed on and killed the out-of-warranty gpu. I only play Warface nowadays, so it kind of does the job, although not very good. Anyway, my same beloved cat also fvcked up my monitor in the same way. The lower 30% or so of the monitor's panel is dead. So while gaming I need to frequently toggle fullscreen by pressing Alt+Enter to read team chat etc, which appears at the bottom. Today while doing that, the screen started blinking. Like it's trying to get the signal but failing. It is working in safe mode. I uninstalled the Intel's latest driver, and the PC fell back to an older one (this is the one Asus is still offering on the M 6 Hero downloads page). But the pc is not being able to cope with this one either. When I restart, just before the windows login screen appears, and the backlit kb lights up, the screen starts blinking . No "content" is visible on the screen when it does these "flashes" of OFF and black no-signal-type screen. I even used YourUninstaller to remove the driver but it's not working.
Without reinstalling windows, how do I fix it?
I am not sure if I have a (system) restore point available. I"ll try that after posting this.
Any other ideas?
