I've bought many 6700K's for under/around $200 and they go for that price at the used market, and I just picked up a 7700K (delidded) for $200. As well, you could also shoot for a i5 8400 which is around the 180-200 mark and is faster than the i3

1. Comparing used and new products is ridiculous.
2. $200 is $56 more than $144, and is almost 40% premium over $144. That is not just "a little".

Of course, I was just saying you could get a better deal. At the same time, you could get a used Ryzen for $150, or something like a W3680 for ~$50

Bought one couple of months ago. I have mine OC to 5.0ghz with a AIO cooler and it never gets above 50C. Running a 1070ti with it and it plays all of my games on high or med settings. Not a bad CPU for the price, doesn't have HT.
