i dont offer warranties so i dont really care warranty is handled by newegg or manufacturer so its a complete moot point if something breaks i tell them you can wait 3 months for the replacment, that gets the point across far quicker then a slap on the hand and a stern look, again never had a customer mess with the Bios, then again its possible to password protect bios on certain boards maybe look into that if your customers are getting brave.

This isn't going to be added above the 2600. When has Intel ever done that? This will be like the many 920 replacements. The 2600k will drop all of $10-20 until it's out of stock, which will take awhile cause a lot of people will see the tiny price dif. and figure they might as well get the 2700 instead. Hell they still can't get rid of their stock of 950s and the 960 replaced it awhile ago.

THIS is why you have been telling people to hang on...a bin up from a 2600k? :wtf:

Buy a 2600k and use the multi. Done :toast:. There isnt a darn bit of difference in this chip vs the 2600k outside of a multi bump. I would bet GOOD money says 80% of 2600k's can handle that bump without a TDP increase. I doubt it will overclock any higher either... Since they are multi limited, its not going to matter.

LUDA I tell ya, LUDA (the CPU)!

Yup, it is, but your post has made me realize that I didn't explain properly, lol

I'm thinking of the Bulldozer competition shaking up the market, regardless of whether it beats Intel or not. Hence, this new chip is just one example of several improvements in price and performance that we will see in the coming months.

Now I make sense! :)

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)

Price improvements? Its coming in at the same price as 2600k. And who knows what that will drop to. Not much. Remember its a bin up, and thats it. people always got the e84/e8500 not the 86/8700. ;)

2700k will replace the 2600k. It's very likely the newer chips could be better. It's possible they could be a new stepping/revision. It's possible the new chips can overclock better.. or worse! So many possibilities! Either way this has happened before and will happen again. Maybe we'll see a 2800k in a few months too.. Or maybe they'll call it a 2850K.. or something else.

^maybe those naming (2850, 2550,2350) would be more appropriate for ivy bridge when it comes out next year.

Until software catches up to hardware theirs no point in upgrading because benching is ghey anyway

You may have a rare 58x+ in this stepping or w/e, you can also find some dud 53x's too.

Why would anyone think this gen would overclock better? Isnt there literally a hard multi wall at 59x on the gems? What am I missing? Thanks in advance for that info.
If some batch of 2700K average @ 55X then it would be easier to find a 58X/59X comparo to how hard it is to bin 2600K:D...I hope
