Intel's Arc Alchemist lineup of graphics cards, based on Xe-HPG GPU configuration, is nearing the launch. With the current situation with AMD and NVIDIA GPUs outputting graphics card prices over the default MSRP, we wonder how Intel would place pricing of its upcoming GPUs and fit inside the market. And today, we got the first round of speculations based on Intel's Arc Alchemist GPU giveaway called Xe-HPG Scavenger Hunt. There are two principal bundles: one worth $900 that includes Intel Arc merchandise, Xbox Game Pass PC for six months, Intel Premium Arc Alchemist graphics card, and one worth $700 that consists of three months of Xbox Game Pass PC, Intel Arc merchandise, and Intel Performance Arc Alchemist graphics card.

According to some preliminary calculations from Tom's Hardware, we assume that with the $900 bundle containing one Premium Arc Alchemist GPU and other prizes, the card will cost as much as $825 when all things get removed. Going down the ladder, Intel has paired a bundle worth $700 with a Performance Arc GPU, which is roughly worth $650 on its own. It indicates that the two Intel Performance and Premium Arch Alchemist graphics cards are respectfully worth $650 and $825. What will the final pricing look like? We don't know. However, we assume that it could be very similar to this. For more information we have to wait for the official launch.

Don't care about the reviews anymore - where can I preorder one blindly for 825$ just to guarantee the card? :D That's the price of 6600 non-XT on the market where I am right now so this one will definitely be better anyway.

Will we actually be able to buy these, or will they be like AMD and nVidia cards where you have a better chance of getting a unicorn?

They are completely unproven in the dGPU space and this is the price point in which they want to present? I'll be damned if I'm experimenting with their GPUs at this price. ...maybe they are good mining cards and they aren't really targeting the gamers at all.

nice. hahaha. intel would be a fool if they let themselves to be the stepping stone so people can buy their nvidia/AMD GPU for a cheap price by offering competitive price on their own GPU.

I guess I should have been clearer in my "unicorn" statement, I guess I should've mentioned graphics cards at or near MSRP.

Seems like they are viable for mining, if that pricing turns out to be true.

Looks like a good price for something with above 3070 performance. Because if not... its almost 2022, you know... we're in the second half of this current generation. Buying at full price now is already a silly thing to do, at inflated price is bonkers, and we all know Intel isn't going to kill Nvidia or AMD efficiency on GPU with the first release.

Or Raja went balls to the wall and we're having a performance king, but that's about as likely as we just saved the world from climate change plus achieved world peace all in one fell swoop.

If they can mine (well) you can bet they'll be vaporware!

He probably went there just for lulz, I doubt Intel will release anything remotely VFM though like the original Zen!

Question here.
Why are we so quick to assume what such package contains?
What if it contains a 30$ water bottle, a 30$ T-shirt, a 50$ deskpad and some 100$ wroth of coupons?

I think people are way too quick on the trigger assuming Intel Arc graphics cards will cost what is stated in the title here.
Can it be right? sure, but lets not treat it is facts, not even in the typical black or white polls are have become typical of TPU as of late

what "triggers" me is that manufacturers would give away that stuff for FREE.

however, no thanks, i have no need for a $30 water bottle, esp after i buy it in one already.

It's a good ballpark, the game pass is 60$ for 6 months, whatever they mean by "intel arc merchandise" won't be more than 50$ bucks of whatever crap was cheapest in the usual merch sweatshops, using the regular "headline" pricing it's likely the premium card will be 799$ which is not great (that's above the 3080 699$). If they respect their partners and 799$ will be the msrp across AIB cards it wouldn't be as bad, but if it's like nvidia/amd where msrp is impossible to hit for AIB cards it's going to be terrible.

Let's hope there's a good spread of cards with lower end options as well, that part of the market has been MIA for a very long time.

Doesn't mean jack without benchmarks. On another note:

$825? You're kidding.

That cheap? Really?

I'd have a better chance of funding a unicorn than getting one of these.

Think like 1-2 months after release they might be relatively safe buy. But I would say half a year at least, depending on real use in game, if any.
