Performance graph without numbers! Why do companies keep ignoring that lol. On top the chart makes it look like midrange is barely faster than integrated and same for enthusiast vs mid range lol. Not expecting much from intel the first go around.

Any numbers attached in this phase of the project would be somewhere between educated guess and wishful thinking.
Take these announcements for what they are: means to raise market awareness, so when a product will be delivered, we won't all be like "wow, look at Intel, they made a video card. again." Just read and move on. That's what I do.

Given that the hardware is competitive, it needs to be priced right. Not to mention its first gen for Intel GPU's so.......
Also the most important concern i have is drivers if anyone has tried to get those integrated graphics drivers from Intel's website, its a mess. Hope they can sort all this out with new launch.

When those graphics cards come out, and i read some independent reviews, that's when we'll see if this is true or just usual intel bullshit. AMD is absolutely destroying them with Ryzen. And Zen 2 isn't even out yet. inetl got caught with their pants down, and they are obviously panicking right now, considering the amount of aggressive marketing they are doing for products still early in development.

What problems do you have? I think they're more reliable at software than hardware tbh.

All they've done is make Intel rethink their consumer/HEDT strategy. And Intel still wears money hats as usual (and burns them occassionally).

You should look up i740. It was a rather cheap and disruptive card in its days.

I get the distinct feeling that this marvelous product, the second coming of iChristGPU, is actually going to turn out to be a sub $100 card, at least when it comes to performance, and as this is an intel product, definitely not high in value for money.

At least they admit it will suck at graphics work, and will only be good for Ai and compute freeks. Fair enough.

Competition (or a try) is always a good thing in this kin of situation : nVidia high-end, very high-end/ high pricing & AMD Mid & High / Normal prices.
In addition to that, AMD doesn't address deep-learning very well, soooo, a third party is welcome (even Intel ^^)

Intel needs a breakthrough innovation nonetheless, imo. They need Raja's archenemy, Eric Demers, to keep the Wattman on his toes, or there won't be another RV770.

I'm all for competition in the GPU world, however, don't expect Intel to be our saviors. If they perform really well, I wouldn't expect them to be cheap. If they don't perform well, then don't expect Nvidia to slash prices either. I hope I'm wrong but we should temper expectations.

It's good to see they are making progress, and it shouldn't be too hard for them to at least eat into AMD's almost non existent mobile presence.

One cool (that I sort of touched on) is Intel is neck deep in Linux development. They have their own distro now, are a platinum member of the Linux Foundation, and have reiterated time and time again their dedication to hardware support (and even want to push Linux gaming).
