Get ready for your new motherboard! Z370 won't be compatible... Hello 9700k and z390 chipset.
100% known fact already... Agreed, buying a Z370 now is a complete waste.

Not for those of us who build a system and keep it for any length of time. I plan to keep this build for quite a long time, perhaps as much as five years. Considering that the processor I have in my system now is practically laughing at me I figure that this system will last a long time to come.

My brother said the following to me when I built this system...
My Brother said:
That system is OP (overpowered) as f*** for no reason.

By all means, if you already bought it, it's a perfect investment. I meant from now on, if you plan to buy a new system, it's better to wait for this mobo.
Btw, there is no such thing as an "overpowered" system. I mean, I'm guessing you're not using it just to play Solitaire, right?

@staff Could you start moderating stupid comments like the one above? It's getting seriously annoying - and I consider myself roughly half of an AMD fanboy.

No, I don't just play Solitaire on it. I play in VMs a lot so having cores to do stuff with is amazing. I've done stuff on this system that easily made my old system beg for mercy, this system just laughs it off like it's no big thing.
if you already bought it
Yeah... I already bought it. I put it together a couple of weeks ago. As one of my friends put it...
If you're going to sit around and wait for the next big thing just because you want to be "future proof" you're going to be sitting around for forever. If you have the money, go for it. Build it and be happy.
Well... I have done just that. I built it, I'm happy and in the end that's really all that matters. Right? I think so.

Was waiting for this. Just in time for DDR5 also.

I'm pretty sure DDR5 is not until 2020, do you have a source that says 2019? I am pretty sure z390 and 8 core CFL are late 2018 or early 2019...
