Interpret Memtest86 results

Hello;

I ran the Memtest86 program and received results. How do I interpret this file? Is this a memory failure or CPU failure?

It looks like stuck bits; most likely Memory failures.

I'd swap the memory stick locations and see if it moves or stays.

Yeah, most likely a faulty memory stick. Try one stick at a time until you find the one producing the errors. If none of them produce errors, try any single stick in different slots. If you clear the sticks individually and find errors on a specific slot, it's the slot that's bad. If the errors only appear when you have multiple slots populated, it's time to suspect the memory controller (which is part of the processor, on your particular system).

I once had a computer that started showing odd symptoms. Eventually I found the system ran fine again with only two sticks of ram. I added some voltage to the memory controller and the problem went away.
