Depending on what games you play, that setup you have with 8gb and 1660s may not get you to 144fps anyway. If you haven't experienced 144 yet, you don't know what you might and might not be missing. If you know the IPS monitor is beautiful and you know you like it, you won't be missing out on anything.

I really meant "I" would go with the higher hz with my 2070 and said always go with what you want which is the AOC 75hz monitor with the better stand. I guess I could have worded it better.. haha But honestly he said he won't be gaming, but videos and movies will take advantage of it. Plus, even if he goes with the higher hz monitor he should be able to lower it in the monitor setttings if he decides to game later.

Just get the G2 144 Hz like one of the members pointed out. I believe it's an LG panel branded under Panda with IGZO coating like the Sharp panels. You can find it in most places like Poland, Scandinavian countries, whatever. It's likely to be in stock in your country and it shouldn't be overly expensive compared to what you're considering either.

I believe he just meant he doesn't put a lot into playing competitively, FPS, whatnot. If there is absolutely NO gaming and just net browsing, I might suggest a lower end monitor but since higher end monitors are being considered, simply picking up the G2 seems like the sensible option. It's not like it costs more than some €170 or so for him anyway, I bet.

The higher herts screen will be better for your eye's.. Medically as the faster refresh allows your eyes to focus more easily.

Subjective. VA is my preferrred tech, but for viewing angles or color accuracy IPS is technically better. Just not in contrast ratio.

I have a relatively high end TV I believe to be VA and it does look amazing with HDR all balls out on high bitrate content, not that I use it much... I'd say it comes down on monitor quite a bit. Just as there are great VAs, there are great IPS monitors too.

170 Euro monitors aren't exactly high-end. Considering the OP already said they liked features of the AOC and has said nothing about liking anything of the Samsung, I would assume they are just looking for comfirmation.

I mean yes, that's not a high end monitor but cost doesn't always reflect how good or how bad something is either. I wouldn't hesitate to use the G2 or anything else that uses the panel found in it. There's also an MSI monitor and couple others that carry that panel.

I wasn't calling you out. More so pointing out that the OP only singled out the other monitor for the hz where in many cases, his overall system probably can't utilize it. I followed that up with agreeing with you post about buying the features you know you like because if you buy the other, and don't like it, you'll be pissed about passing up the features you knew you liked.
