Hi.

gpu-z 2.9.0 shows for my Zotac GTX 1070 Ti AMP Extreme Edition the correct values on the main page.

GPU Clock: 1607
Memory: 2002
Boost: 1683

I have not overclock the card and did not use Zotac's Firestorm tool until now.

I am wondering why gpu-z shows on the measurement page 1911 Mhz when the card is under load?

As far as I know 1911 is the boost clock of a GTX 1080 .... but my card is definitely an GTX 1070 Ti

Does anyone have an explanation?

Thank you all

thats how GPU Boost 3.0 works... don't need to worry about it. Also, the 1070Ti is quite close to the base GTX1080, at least in clock speeds.

Since Maxwell, boost will almost always be higher than the conservatively listed boost speed in the specs.

If power usage and temps are in control, the GPU’s are usually capable of higher. The spec is the minimum that the card is guarranteed of achieving.

OK.

Thank you both! :) Yes - seem alright...

Found now an article from a tester (https://proclockers.com/reviews/vid...i-8gb-amp-extreme-review-beast-calls/page/0/9) and he had 1911 at Boost (stock, before his overclocking procedure), too. His second screenshot (=at load) shows it on Firestorm

Hi Tsukiyomi91...
you were very correct - great !

PS: I was another one of the ones mentioned there as "confused". But I think I ask better as stayin' confused ;-)

Yeah. A lot of the 1070 and 1070Ti cards are actually capable of very high boost clocks. My 1070 (no Ti) will happily boost all the way to 2113 after some OC. I've never seen a 1080 get that high.
