Is 15120 3dmark06 normal for my system?

I'm running the video card at 780/950 in CCC. This seems a little slow to me. I turned AVG and anything else running in the background off.

That seems a little on the low side - my quad and 260 gets 18K, so you should be pretty close to that. Are all the tests running at stock? no AA? have you overclocked just your 2D clocks?

Trial and error my friend, trial and error ;)

I think it is a bit low my self, but nvidia cards always benched higher, I get 15.5~16K on mine.

Maybe, but it's also a really good 260gtx. I sold it to him. ;)

Lol, it wont make that much of difference tho, or is it a Core 216?
Could it just be the extra 0.6ghz giving hima better CPU score thus an extra 3000 3dmark points?

no idea, my quad was at 3.8 at the time and this 260 was overclocked a fair bit - check my journey thread out, all the scores are on there.

Its a 192 version, but i got it off tatty so its a cherry of a card ;)

that is normal, I get about 17k-18k depending on my clocks with my 9800GX2.

That means your quad was only 50 mhz slower then what he's running on two cores, giving you a 4.5 ghz advantage, which will help a ton with your CPU score. He doesn't have his proc OC'd too much I see most e8400's at least at 4.0ghz, I would say for the clock your score seems about right on.

Lol, I see now, 790 on the core! Nice one! My scores seem right looking through that thread of yours lol. I take it that was only just stable enough to run 3dmark06? Or did you do a voltmod, or bios mod?

i would think low but then i don't have that card and won't have a GTX 260 till out 2 weeks. but when i had my 8800GT, had it oc'ed slightly and my q6600 at 3.4ghz i got ~14.7k, so i would think it'd be higher, what does orb tell you about the comparison to other system similar to yours?

That probably due to you having a quad core. When I went from a quad at 3.6 to a dual at 4.3, my score was very close to my old score w/ my slower quad. I even overclocked my 2 4850s higher on the dual setup.

790 on the core was 24/7 stable, tatty had it up to 800 core stable haha. Tatty did the bios mod to allow the extra voltage through, but even still its a cherry of a card, he seems to get lucky with super - clocking hardware haha.

Seems about right with a dual core at 3.8ghz.
