I bought this off FB marketplace for £250, 4790k, z87i gaming AC, 2x8gb ddr3 2400. Was a fine buy, sold for same price i paid, to a pal. There are some genuine sellers on there, even some that will actually post, but i would only pick up in person from their home address.

Hell no only if you can see item in person. I ordered a 2080Ti/WB combo and received a tracking number for it. Ended up not getting package found out it was delivered to a different name and address, fraud according to UPS. FB did reverse my CC purchase real quick, kudos to them.

I've sold many things on Facebook marketplace but I always sell for local pick up only. Sellers can also get scammed, I've had stuff returned back to me that wasnt what I sold. The best thing that was sent back to me was used old underwear, when I sold the person a used SSD drive, that happened on ebay. I reported the person and won the case.

I think it's fine and the only reason i have the facebook thing, just try and do all deals face to face and you'll be fine. Exposure is really good there, for some weird reason people love that thing to look at ex-girlfriends or some shit, point being it works.

Topic title needs a little fix.

Remove everything about GPUs and buying from the marketplace.

Answer remains a resounding NO.

Is doesn't have to be a "no", just buy the item in person and not online if they don't have any kind of buyer protection.
