Hello

i have xpg 650 cyber core PSU and it has the normal cpu pin ( 1 connected to the PSU and the dual split 8/8)

there is the primay one and then the secondary one ( the one that gets split )

due to cable management issues , i found that the secondary one works best

but i´m wondering , is it alright to use it instead of the primary ?

the picture is something like this , the first pin is next to the cpu tower and the secondary one ( split ) is plugged

thanks

There is no issue. It makes absolutely no difference, it's wired to the same cable.

I've read somewhere that one should try to use the end of the cable if possible (which you are), but I don't think it makes a lick of difference to be honest.

thanks everybody for the input guys

it seems that this cpu cable of the psu is somehow shorter and it made harder to connect the first one

Personally I just use the 8-pin on my Crosshair VII Hero and left the 4-pin aux 12V unpopulated.

edit: Ah, OP meant the cable, not the motherboard itself. No worries on OP's case.
